Amanda Sharp
Owner & Pet Care Specialist
Amanda spent many years searching for her true calling before building the life she was meant for. Her career path first led her into security and eventually into law enforcement, including working with the RCMP. While she valued the discipline, structure, and resilience that career gave her, she eventually realized her heart wasn’t in working with people—it was with animals.
As a child, Amanda dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but it wasn’t until she brought home Jäger, her Wirehaired Pointer, that that dream truly reignited. Wanting to give him the very best life possible, she immersed herself in learning about training techniques, behavior, enrichment, and humane, force-free methods. Raising Jäger didn’t just make her a devoted dog owner—it resparked her passion for animal care in a profound way. He also became the inspiration behind the name and logo of On Point Pet Sitting—a tribute to the breed she loves and the dog who changed everything.
Determined to pursue that calling, Amanda began volunteering at a local veterinary clinic simply to gain experience. It didn’t take long for the clinic to recognize her dedication and natural ability—within a month, she was offered a full-time position. She fell in love with the work, soaking up knowledge about animal health, behavior, and patient care while working toward becoming a veterinary technician.
Unfortunately, a major car accident caused permanent changes in her life and forced her to make significant adjustments to her career path. While it was an incredibly difficult chapter, it also became a turning point. Amanda chose to channel her years of experience, education, and unwavering passion for animals into something of her own.
That is how On Point Pet Sitting was born.
Today, Amanda combines her background in law enforcement, veterinary medicine, and hands-on pet care to provide knowledgeable, compassionate, and professional services. What began as a childhood dream—reignited by one very special dog—ultimately became her purpose: helping animals live happy, safe, and enriched lives while giving their families complete peace of mind.
Madeline Hebert
Part Time Pet Care Provider
Maddy has always had a passion for working with animals. She spent two years at Club Mead Kennels in Nisku, where she cared for dogs and other pets by making sure all their needs were met — from feeding and bathing to medications and outdoor playtime. She also volunteered for several years at the Edmonton Humane Society, spending countless hours walking dogs and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
More recently, Maddy earned her Dog Behavior Training and Management (DBTM) certification through the Humane Society. This program focused on positive reinforcement training and taught her practical tools for managing behavior, teaching new skills, and helping dogs and their families thrive together.
With her mix of hands-on care and training experience, Maddy brings patience, knowledge, and a genuine love for animals to every dog she works with.

Nathan Bugden
Admin Assistant
Nathan has a natural way with animals - pets tend to gravitate to him almost instantly. Growing up, he participated in 4H programs and dog agility with his childhood dog, Maggie, building hands-on skills and an understanding of animal behavior that he still uses today with our client pets.
Nathan primarily supports On Point behind the scenes with administrative support, but you may also see him joining Amanda on visits from time to time.

Amy Bilodeau
Part Time Pet Care Provider
Amy has loved animals her entire life. Growing up, she had a beloved childhood cat, who lived to an incredible 21 years old — a testament to the deep bond and dedicated care they shared. She also cared for two budgies, further nurturing her early love of animals. Although she always dreamed of having a dog, she wasn’t allowed to get one growing up.
Once on her own, Amy became a proud pet parent and fully embraced her passion for animal care. She joined the On Point team to continue expanding her experience, build relationships with even more pets, and provide the same love, patience, and attention she’s given her own animals throughout the years.
