Amanda Sharp

Owner & Pet Care Specialist

Amanda founded On Point Pet Sitting out of a deep passion for animals and a desire to provide pet parents with reliable, professional, and compassionate care. With over 15 years of experience in pet care—including nearly three years in veterinary medicine—she saw firsthand the importance of high-quality, attentive pet services.

Before launching On Point Pet Sitting, Amanda worked in law enforcement, an experience that instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail. However, her true calling was always animal care. After transitioning to the veterinary field, she realized that many pet owners struggled to find trustworthy, knowledgeable, and compassionate pet sitters. Recognizing this gap, she created On Point Pet Sitting—a service built on professionalism, safety, and a deep love for animals.

Amanda is certified in pet first aid and CPR, a member of the Alberta Force Free Alliance, and committed to humane, fear-free handling methods. She specializes in pet body language, behavior, and quality of life, ensuring that every pet in her care is not only safe but also happy and enriched.

Madeline Hebert

Part Time Pet Care Provider

Maddy has always had a passion for working with animals. She spent two years at Club Mead Kennels in Nisku, where she cared for dogs and other pets by making sure all their needs were met — from feeding and bathing to medications and outdoor playtime. She also volunteered for several years at the Edmonton Humane Society, spending countless hours walking dogs and helping them feel comfortable and cared for.

More recently, Maddy earned her Dog Behavior Training and Management (DBTM) certification through the Humane Society. This program focused on positive reinforcement training and taught her practical tools for managing behavior, teaching new skills, and helping dogs and their families thrive together.

With her mix of hands-on care and training experience, Maddy brings patience, knowledge, and a genuine love for animals to every dog she works with.
